20 minute binaries

#1

I trade the ES and TF, what advice would you give for how you select the strike price, I use the out of the money contracts?

#2

The strike prices you select are all determined by what strategy or system you are using. With OTM strikes you need to make sure that you have a reason behind selecting OTM and a reason for a specific strike price. You need to make sure there is expected move in the market to make sure you will get a move that will cause the OTM binary to be profitable, otherwise it will just decay in value in time. What system are you using?

I watched Darrel’s webinar last night re: 20 minute binaries and was wondering what time interval to use on the underlying chart? Does he recommend 1,2,3,4 minutes, etc.??

I watched the replay and if i understand it, need to use diagnostic bars…with that in mind, any particular tick interval?

The chart for 20 minute binary strangles is a 6 tick diagnostic chart. This is for all four of the indicies.

How do you set up the 6 tick chart in Ninja? I’ve looked all over but can’t figure it out :frowning:

Click on file>new>chart and select YM. Select new at the bottom of the data series. On the right side of the data series you will see the word TYPE. Double click the type of chart it is set to and look at the drop down menu. At the bottom is diagnostic bars. Select this one. Then double click brick size and set it to 6. Double click chart style and select bars or candles. Then you can change the color of the bricks. The two images show YM set to minutes and diagnostic bars. On the minute chart if you double click the chart style you can change from bars to candlesticks.
