EUR/JPY expiration of 11pm

#1

On Nadex there are contracts for EUR/JPY that show expiration as late as 11pm, but after 5pm when I hover over the contracts it shows that the market has closed and no action available.

Can someone explain how this works? If I have an open position of one of these contracts will the binary be decided by the indicative index at 5pm or at 11pm?

There is a period between 1700 and 1800 EST during the week that the Nadex goes into maintenance mode and the Markets are “unavailable” for that hour. Your position if opened before 1700 will still be open and you should be able to manipulate it after 1800 EST when Nadex opens up again. Is this what you are referring to?

When the pair/indice has a green arrow next to it, then you are able to open and close those positions. Red X means that pair/indice is “unavailable”.

Thank you. This is must be what occurred. The positions did become available after about an hour.
