Trend Trading with Spreads

Hello,

Just wondering the following:

  1. What futures are best for using Spreads as an alternative?

2.What futures have the best tendency to trend intraday?

  1. What Apex systems are best for catching large intraday trend moves on spreads?

  1. Best is a very generic term looking for the “perfect answer” which most likely does not exist as there will always be a lot of depends on …etc…

The only futures that can be used for trading spreads are the ones listed on Nadex ES TF NQ YM FDAX FTSE NK (SGX JPY) CL GC SI HG ZS ZB

And of course the fx pairs. Ones to probably avoid as they have stupid low leverage and barely move profit or loss when the market moves due to how they tick are FDAX, SI, HG (NQ soon to be moved into the go list as they are putting int place my rdquest to make US Tich 100 tick in .1 soon versus 1). This will make traders confused and wondering why the market is moving so much and they have barely made or lost anything on the spread avoid them unless you have a good reason or are trading like 50 at a time.

Regarding the rest

they are used so you can do fractional sizing ie $1.00 a tick $5.00 a tick $14 a tick makes it easy to make your risk management model by compounding versus multiplying size.

The best spread comes down to the system - for trending the best is going to be the end of day spreads where the underlying is near the middle (long expiration for trends and wide range so price moves fast and no near floor or celing so price moves fast) As i show here: Trading Trend Catcher using Chop Filter with Spreads

  1. Best trends - Whatever the answer to that question is it will change tomorrow you just have to follow the chart. We have the trend catcher system, with chop filter, and MVP for sclaping versus trending (helps you know when to scalp versus trend as you never know which is which this helps).
