Up until this point, NinjaTrader sent you an email containing a product key that began with “@SIM” when you first signed up to download their platform. You then needed to take this key and insert it in NinjaTrader. There was lots of confusion as to which key you should be using, because AMP/CQG* and FXCM, (the data providers we recommended) also sent you keys.

Fret no more. NinjaTrader’s team has made it even simpler for you. When you sign up to use their platform for free, they automatically place the key for you during the download/installation. This will save you time and frustration. With one less thing to worry about, you can now set up your data feeds and get to trading a successful system.
The key automatically inserted for you will be for demo use only, so if you purchase a license from NinjaTrader, you will still need to swap the key out for your live key just like you always have. Keep this in mind if your re-downloading NT7 due to some technical issues you may be having. If you do not follow our guide for properly reinstalling Ninja and preserve your config file, you will need to replace the product key if you are using a live account.
