I'm not understanding the Trail Offset

#1

I was trailing this long trade… or at least I thought I was… with the idea being that if the market dropped 10 ticks below the high of the current trend, then it would trigger me out of the trade. I placed this order when the market was at 124.94. I thought my stop trigger would be placed at 124.84 and would gradually go up as the market went up until it turned around and then I’d be triggered out. Instead, I was immediately taken out of the trade at a price of 124.83. So I think I’m not understanding what the Trail Offset is actually doing. Either that, or I’m using it incorrectly. How should I have entered this in order to get it to do what I was trying to do?

Did you enter the 124.84 manually??

No, I left the Stop trigger blank and just put the trail offset at 10.
