Warning: Be Careful of false expectations in demo platforms

#1

Meaning, stocks, futures, nadex, etc

Demo modes are auto fills and that is not the case in the real world

demo’s are good just to learn how to make trades and getting to know software

Running test systems are not going to equate to live trading

It depends on how the demo platform is built. Some require limit not market if touched. Others require volume requirements and bid/ask requirements. So yes demo and live are not 100% the same but they can be made fairly accurate depending on how the platform is made.

In reality even live can vary based on liquidity etc… this is how trading works.

Demo lets you learn muscle memory, how to use a platform, how to react, hwo to deal with multiple situations, how to deal with money management. Live markets have varying factors just as demo do. The only real difference is the emotion which should only really impact you if you are greedy risking to much money.

Is this just a general post or going for something specifically?
