Best Time to Place Orders

When doing a Straddle/Strangle isn’t it always more beneficial to put the orders in closer to the news being released? little confused on that.

The Majority Of The Time On Spread Straddle the Spreads should have the same floor and ceiling but your side to take profit price needs to be within the expected move. On both the more time.the better so long as risk reward based.on take profit is there.
