Hi DM,
My performance on YM this past week was not so good, so bad in fact that I would like to check and see if my settings are off in some way.
I’ve set the chart to a 6 bar w/ 2 entry/offset, and updated the toolkit beginning of the week.
I trade straight APEX Elite rules using spreads, no BMX reversals or other “advanced” strategies. As with my last post here in “What did I do wrong”, I am unsure where to draw the line between style and system, so I only take the trades as presented on the chart.
Below is a snapshot of each days trades for the past week. I have gone through on replay and traded the week again, these are my cleaned up notes for review. Could you critique them and compare? Maybe you will see something that is causing all of the unprofitable exits I am experiencing, it is almost like the signals are working in reverse.
All summary totals listed below for each of the days, as well as per trade on the charts do not include bid/ask and fees, as in for this review I’ve only counted the ticks from entry to close to come to these totals for each trade.
10/28 - 4 trades, -$28 on the day 2013-11-01_1706 - Doppelrock’s library
10/29 - 4 trades, -$8 on the day 2013-11-01_1710 - Doppelrock’s library
10/30 - 8 trades, -$10 on the day Morning - 2013-11-01_1712 - Doppelrock’s library
Mid-day - 2013-11-01_1713 - Doppelrock’s library
End of day - 2013-11-01_1715 - Doppelrock’s library
10/31 - 1 trade, +$60 on the day 2013-11-01_1718 - Doppelrock’s library
11/1 - 3 trades, -$23 on the day 2013-11-01_1719 - Doppelrock’s library
Week total comes in at -$9, assuming only ticks are counted. Had I traded in multiples, and totaled up bid/ask with fees, this would be a bummer week.
Is there anything you can see that I can change to make the week positive simply trading elite apex spreads without style, either in technical adjustments of the charts or otherwise?
Thanks DM, and have a great weekend.
Rob
