Duplicate Indicators Problem

Hey does this happen to anyone, when I start Up NT some of my charts have double the indicators that were installed. Regardless how many times I delete them and save, and restart. Doesn’t matter which templates either. It happens on any template, at random times.

I noticed that’s on a v-spike chart, and yes, I’ve seen that happen. Don’t know why yet, but I want to repeat it to determine the cause. Which template did u apply when it happens?

I made my own Template for V.Spike. But it happened on my Chop Warn template. and on 10-min deviation Stop loss. Like I said, it happens to me on any template. Not all the time but it does. I’m waiting for response from N.T support.

THANKS! Was preparing to open template to ensure it wasn’t that. Please post when you receive reply.

Ive seen that a couple times as well look forward to finding out what causes it.

Hello,

Thanks for you reply.

As a test, please take the following steps to force NinjaTrader to start without your saved workspace. You will have the option to reopen these after our tests.

Shut down NinjaTrader Navigate to (My) Documents\NinjaTrader 7\workspaces Delete the file named “_Workspaces.XML”. *Please note this will not delete your workspace however the new blank workspace will be named Untitled1. If you have a workspace already named Untitled1 however you will not want to save the workspace when exiting NinjaTrader with the name Untitled1, otherwise it will overwrite it. After deleting this file, restart NinjaTrader which should startup without any workspaces. Once NinjaTrader has started on just the control center, please open a new chart with no indicators/templates. Add a few indicators to the chart Go to File> Workspaces> Save as Exit NinjaTrader, restart, and test

If this works I would recommend rebuilding your workspace as it may be corrupt.

I’m going to try this now, and I’ll email him back to see what he says. if anyone has any luck post. so I can keep emailing him till he gives a real solution.

This was their reply. Useless:

Hello Danny,

Thanks for your reply.

I would recommend seeing if you can replicate it after rebuilding your workspace. I would not recommend to use past templates to rebuild your workspace.

If you duplicate it with the new workspace we will need to find a way to replicate it. A specific indicator may be resulting in the duplicates.

You could try leaving out some custom 3rd party indicator to narrow down the cause. If other people in your group have the same thing happen I would see what 3rd party indicators you guys are both using.

Basically delete everything start over assume its something else it can’t be the platform  If it was replica table it would the the 3rd party indicator - if not - then its a random platform bug not firing off a log error
