How does nadex decide what the strikes are going to be for the different expiration times? Are the intradays determined as the day goes along?

They are predetermined.
Check out the education - nadex - videos to learn more about this - as i go into it in detail
the short summary is this on the contract specs pages - ie Forex Contracts http://www.nadex.com/spot-forex/fx-contracts.html
you will see they have a set number of strikes - they have a set width on those strikes - and this is determiend for evrey expiration and is the same every day
ie 21 strikes 20 ticks apart on daily fx expirations
9 strike 10 ticks apart on intraday fx
so the middle of the 21 or 9 will be where the market is a few minutes before the binaries begin trading (so yes as the day goes along) - then there will be 10 above and below it at that width
ON spreads it works the same way - width is set - there will be 1 above it - 1 below it - and one in the middle straddling it
