Nadex spread profit calculation

#1

hello, i had a question about bull spreads. i saw one of your training videos on how to calculate the risk, reward and profit. and in the video you guys said you subtract the payout by the amount risked to get the profit when contract is settled. lets say my risk was $30 to open the trade, when i open the trade (make up numbers) i am -5 and i go up to +20 and decide to close my trade. is that +20 i see on my open position my profit or would i need to subtract the 30 dollars of risk meaning a 10 dollar loss? because aim confused with that. please and thank you

payout amount only has to do with settlment not with exiting before the trade

you won’t get a payout ticket if you don’t hold to expiration you will just get a trade exited at price email and your balance will udpate

if you are plus 20 and you close the trade you will make 20 if you have 5 risk your account will go up 25 (20 you made plus 5 at risk) less exchange fees ie 1.80 if you did 1 contract entry and exit.
