Hello Darrell…or anyone else,

Does NinjaTrader offer a way to backtest a strategy or indicator “live”? When I was using metatrader 4 there was the option of running the history and plugging in your indicators to see how they would react as each candle formed. I haven’t seen anything like this on NinjaTrader. I have an indicator I would like to test but unfortunately it repaints and it only displays for the current hour so I am unable to see what it looked like in the past. I would like to run the history and see how accurate this indicator is.

I don’t know if they have that capability in NT. You can post in the NinjaTrader forum “www.ninjatrader.com/support/forum/index.php” , and they are usually pretty good about answering.

You might have to register with the forum to get posting privileges.

Does anyone in the group have experience doing this? I have some fairly simple parameters I want to backtest, but it may involve coding beyond the Wizard.
