What is the difference between the dynamic/static DOM and which should I be using? (I am in sim)

Answer:

Referring to Ninja trader. Use whichever one you want ? the Dynamic one is free ? that is what I use on sim and live

Basically static stays put ? dynamic moves up a down and recenters ? which I like better

How do i remove from Ninja Trader chart, the posting of each trade.

Right click on chart - click on data series - the last option you will see is plot execution - choose DoNotPlot from the drop down menu. You can then right click on this and make default. however the default will be for that bar type that time frame only.

To help make this easier after doing the above - right click on the chart go to templates and save as default chart to help in not having to repeat the above steps when opening new charts.

I’m having trouble with Ninja Trader. I click on file / new / chart / market / OK and it comes up blank. It’s probably my fault, but I can’t figure out why. I sent them a message, but thought I would post here too in case anyone else is having this problem.

#1 reason would be you have no data feed (see step 4 getting started stpes to get it) #2 you did not connect - control center - file connect #2 data feed is expired (see step 4 on getting started steps to renews it) #3 you are choosing an expired contract (i.e. ES 12-12)

also if using futures at NTB cqg data feed you can call them they will help you fast

Have you ever had an issue with NT7 giving you the start up box and then not loading anything after that? My NT7 won’t load any charts, toolbars, etc on the screen but if I go to task manager it shows that it is running. The last time I used it was this afternoon and I was doing Market replay. I closed out of the program like normal, and shut down my computer. When I went to start it up tonight I ran into this problem. I uninstalled NT and then re-installed it but get the same error. I submitted a help ticket with NT but wanted to check if anyone else had a similar problem as well.

Not sure what the issue is - Submit a help desk ticket in our help desk section and include a skype ID if you have it - one of our programmers will help you.

Make sure you connect to futures first

Then connect to forex (AFTER futures is connected)

If choosing our charts - make sure you choose diagnostic bars - choose default 24x7 as session template - choose bars back as 1500 (not days back 30) - or to make it super easy just update with the new apex toolkit with the link on your desktop/in your start menu and it has all the newest settings build right into it.

For some reason nothing would show up on screen but NT was running according to the task manager. After some work its running again I just have to set up my data connections and I’ll be good to go.
