Think or Swim Platform

How do you switch future contract months in the think or swim platform?

You can enter a ? in the instrument window (upper left on a chart) and the instrument list will appear. Click on the Futures tab and you’ll get the whole list. For example, the Russel ETF is RUT, but the futures instrument is /TF. (Same as Ninja Trader, I bellieve??)

Just insert the instrument put a / before the instrument if using think or swim. All month codes are listed on the scanner in month code format and numerical month code format and also here: Future Symbol & Month Codes | Apex Investing Institute

I have provided some cheat sheets.

ie /TFU4 notice the / and no spaces.

TOS is great for options but due to their commissions, margins, and the way data is fed I would not use it personally for futures.
