Wondering if anyone knows how the Volcker Ruling today will affect daytrading in regards to the derivative markets? Should we see positive or negative changes coming our way in terms of money/market makers? Thanks!

Most of what I saw only reported on what it does to banks and their trading desks. I saw one little blurb (in Forbes) that talked about making a rule that market makers can only make money on fees, not on appreciation or depreciation of assets.
Of course, it took them years and 900 pages to write and craft, so who knows what is in there…
